The fifth International Music Festival NIPPON is held in Tokyo, Nagoya and Kuji.
We invite those who won the International Tchaikovsky Competition as did Akiko Suwanai, to hold chamber music and orchestra concerts.
Furthermore, we world-premiere a new piece written by a Japanese composer having taken an active role in the world. During the festival, there are also, as per every year, various programs including educational programs and musical events in collaboration with other artistic genres.
Please look forward to the fifth International Music Festival NIPPON.

Masterclasses of the International Music Festival NIPPON (open lesson) is one of the activities Akiko Suwanai works for with passion. She wishes, through this program, to share to younger generations the “world level skills” she gained through her career as top violinist. Indeed, she herself was deeply influenced by a masterclass she took when she was elementary school student.
She believes that even young kids around this age should have opportunity to lean with professional, high level musicians through masterclass.
For several days, during dense and meaningful masterclasses, young musicians’ dream of being professional in future and the festival’s dream of supporting them are crossing.
Those who would like to take masterclass will download and fill in the form below (Japanese only) to send it to us.
All lessons are open to the public. Witness sparks fly as teachers and students exchange ideas. See impressive lessons where performances and music are being formed before your very eyes, it’s like a documentary movie.
All masterclasses are open, with the entrance fee ¥1,000 per day
